Contract School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - San Francisco, CA

Are you a highly motivated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist seeking a rewarding contract opportunity in a vibrant urban setting? We are partnering with a supportive school district in San Francisco, CA, to find a dedicated SLP for the upcoming school year. Location: San Francisco, CA Discipline: Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) Dates: August 12, 2025 – June 3, 2026 Hours: 35 hours/week On-site ONLY

Caseload/Details:

The district has multiple needs, and specific caseload assignments will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience and the district's requirements. You will be working with a diverse student population, providing essential speech and language services.

Job Duties May Include:

  • Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations and assessments.
  • Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with communication disorders.
  • Providing direct and indirect speech-language therapy services in individual and group settings.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student success.
  • Monitoring student progress, maintaining accurate records, and participating in IEP meetings.
  • Consulting with school staff on strategies to facilitate communication development in the classroom.

Special Requirements:

  • Active California Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license from the Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) is required.
  • Clear/Professional Speech Services Credential from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) is preferred but not strictly needed if an active DCA license is held.
  • Recent school-based experience is a plus.

Compensation:

For this contract position, the average hourly rate is $55-$70 based on experience .
