Job Description

Workday Administrator

Location: Onsite 5 days per week in San Antonio, TX

Type: Full Time, Direct Hire

We are seeking a skilled and self-sufficient Workday Administrator to support and enhance the Workday environment, with a strong emphasis on Core HCM, Payroll, and Time Tracking. This role will be responsible for hands-on configuration, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance in a fast-paced enterprise setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, maintain, and support Workday Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and Time Tracking modules.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and user requests, owning the ticket lifecycle from intake to resolution.
  • Manage and deploy system updates, patches, and enhancements in alignment with internal governance and best practices.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver system demos or proof-of-concept configurations.
  • Analyze business processes and recommend improvements based on Workday capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience configuring and administering Workday Core HCM, Payroll, and Time Tracking.
  • Proven ability to manage a high volume of system tickets independently in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday certifications in Payroll, Absence, and/or Time Tracking.
  • Experience configuring and supporting Workday Benefits module.
  • Familiarity with HR operations and business process design.
  • Proficiency in Workday reporting (e.g., calculated fields, matrix reports).
  • Experience working within Agile or Scrum methodologies.
