Job Description

An Elite Global Hedge Fund based in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Paralegal to join and support its legal team. This individual will work directly with internal and external legal counsel on complex transactions, fund formation, general corporate governance, and other related matters. This position offers high visibility across the business, and the individual in this seat will have the opportunity to make an impact starting on day one.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support Legal and Business teams on Investment Transactions and Fund related matters.
• Supervise the formation and maintenance of new entities and handle related organizational responsibilities.
• Works with domestic and offshore investment teams on private and structured transactions; prepare deal documentation, compliance analyses, and more.
• Support the formation of private funds; develop checklists, deliver executed documents, manage regulatory filings, etc.
• Assist with corporate governance matters; internal documentation, maintain corporate records, etc.
• Liaise with internal and external parties on a variety of matters, including due diligence requests, completing sanctions, and more.
• Complete ad-hoc legal and compliance responsibilities on an as-needed basis.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent via education and experience.
• 6+ Years of Paralegal experience. Experience within a Hedge Fund or Financial Services broadly is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of corporate governance/hedge fund operations, corporate structures, etc.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
